What people are saying about York
Starting at 9.00am across from the Minster, this was one of the best days out that my wife and I have had.Travelling through York, with a bit o social history was very interesting.Once into the countryside, the views were superb( and we are Scottish....used to great views!).Our guide,Chris, was constantly giving interesting facts but in a very informal and user friendly fashion. We visited a variety of villages and interesting hamlets with 2 hours in Haworth, plenty of time for a visit to the Bronte Parsonage and a lovely lunch in one of the many and varied cafes, pubs and restaurants.Great day out and even allow we had travelled often in Yorkshire,it was much better being a passenger!! Thank you for a great day out.Regards Jim and Cath Greenock.
great weather for it, great experience, highly recommend it. Friendly owner, and you’re given all the information you could possibly need, thank you!
Enjoyed the tour, the bus was probably half empty, due to time of year probably but the guide could not have been better. Would highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a lighthearted ghost experience.
The rooms were decked in the most beautiful decorations. The staff so helpful, the food delicious and gifts reasonably priced. I bought honey which was explained as coming from hives within walking distance. A ride in the trailer was another surprise. We three pensioners had a most enjoyable time.
2 1/2 hour bike ride around York on confortable easy to ride bikes. 7 miles at a very leisurely pace. Cecil was an excellent guide. Lots of information on historical sites and events told in an interesting and entertaining way. We were lucky to be the only ones on the tour. Having done a guided walk the previous day Cecil adapted our route so we saw and heard about different parts of York. Very good value for money. Clear directions and easy to find meeting point. An easy way to travel a reasonable distance and see as much as possible as we were only in York for the 2 days.
