Popular Sunrise tours in Yogyakarta

As a lone traveler, I really enjoyed the tour and would recommend this. The tour company was very good and responsive via whatsapp. The driver, Bazil, speaks goos English and was accomdating with my schedule, although not overly talkative. The sunrise was the hilight of the tour. It was raining most of the day, but the skies partially cleared for the sunshine at Borobudur. It ended with slight refreshments at the nearby hotel. Then went on the tour at Mount Merapi. The Jeep ride was fun and the driver helped take many photos, although the scenery was less interesting. Only comment is the jeeps were quite old compared with others I saw on the road. The tour ended at Prambanan temple which was nice and quiet as you walk away from the main temple. Despite the rainy weather, I really enjoyed the tour, which brought me back to the hotel at 3pm.

Indra was a fantastic guide who stuck with us all day. He drove us to each site, helped us enter each to get started in the right direction, answered our questions very knowledgeably during the drives between each site, and had a very comfortable mini SUV. This saved us a lot of stress in trying to see these amazing sites (Borobudur, Mount Merapi, and Prambanan). He was on time and always waiting for us at the exit of each site. He even took a couple pictures of us and sent them to us after. I highly recommend this tour.

Honestly I was not sure what to expect.. was afraid we will get into a bus full of tourists. Instead of that we had a car just for us. With an amazing driver, who told us a lot of interesting things and also was willing to change a road so we could see some villages (we love photography). Thanks to Widi we have spent our best day in Yogjakarta and in Indonesia. Highly recommended!

My guide Toufan (may have spelt it wrong, forgive me) was exceptional, he knew the history of Yogyakarta and Indonesia on the whole. He added so much to this tour other than seeing these spectacular monuments. The overall experience with getyourguide is par none. Thanks guys!

Our driver (Praja) was very friendly, and he made the trip easy, entertaining and stress-free. The Borobudur sunrise experience was definitely the best part. The volcanoe and Pradanan temple was good too. I'd recommend this to a friend.
