Full description
The tour starts with a step back in time to a simpler lifestyle as you settle into your personal cabin for the trip. Make yourself at home in your cozy cabin, made all the more comfortable by a heated wooden stove. There is no plumbing or electricity in the cabin, which gives you the chance to really connect with nature and escape from the stresses of normal life. All amenities are just a short walk from the cabin at the nearby main lodge, where dinner is also served.

Your first day starts with a delicious breakfast at the main lodge followed by a gear check before heading out to Kusawa Lake. Along the drive, admire the stunning scenic views all around you, and pump yourself up for the adventure that awaits. Once at the lake, your guide will provide a brief instruction on what to do and not to do on the journey before you're paired 2 guests per canoe. Spend the day paddling around the lake into the Takhini River, and encounter some short and exciting rapids surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

Once you’ve spent the day paddling around the waters it’s time to head back to camp and settle in for dinner, served around the campfire. Share stories with your friends and the other guests and listen to tales of the area with your bellies full. Then head to your cabin for a restful night’s sleep before the busy day ahead.

The next two days begin with the smell of freshly brewed coffee and a hearty bacon breakfast. Head down the river for another adventure, and keep your eyes peeled to the shore, water, and sky, as one never knows what wildlife might appear. Once again before it gets dark, stop at campsite number two for some good food and stories around the campfire. On the last day, enjoy a morning of paddling back to the main lodge, where there’s time to revisit your cabin and freshen up with a hot shower before enjoying your last meal and heading back to Whitehorse the next day.
