Full description
Explore the highlights of Wellington’s city and coastline with a local guide on a small-group day tour. Your fully-inclusive tour includes entry fees, lunch, and refreshments. Be picked up from your accommodation at 9:30 am.

Head to the top of Mt Victoria for superb views of the city and the harbor. Visit Peter Jackson’s Weta Cave where you will enjoy a fascinating behind-the-scenes workshop tour. Savour lunch by the sea at the renowned Chocolate Fish Cafe, a casual and quirky outpost that serves seafood sandwiches, burgers and salads.

After lunch, continue along the rugged coastline around to Red Rocks. Head off-road to see the seal colony (seasonal). Return to the city for a cable car ride, then walk through the picturesque Botanical Gardens to the Lady Norwood rose gardens. Visit the iconic Beehive, Parliament buildings, and Wellington's oldest church. Finish your day at Wright Hill, a historic military site with views over the greater Wellington region. Tour concludes with drop off back to your accommodation around 4:30 pm.
