What people are saying about Washington, DC

Guide was knowledgable and engaging and we enjoyed the tour.

Well paced engaging tour with knowledgeable tourguide. Small group ensured ease if getting sround. Tasted a good variety of foods. Could have traded a historical building or two for another food sample.

Lydia was an outstanding docent and very knowledgable.

Although we were in the middle of a tremendous downpour we made the best of the walking tour. Lydia was a real trooper always displaying the positive side of the rainy weather. The historical aspect of the tour was great. The food would have been better enjoyed if we could have had small portions and more than 4 tastings. Overall I enjoyed myself and now have a expansive view of Georgetown.

Good information and historical data on the tour

Tour guide was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the capital and surrounding area. At the capital we were fortunate to have another great guide. I loved the personal headsets so that we didn't miss any information

Great way to see all the major monuments/Memorials

It was a very humid hot day, but our slow d the pace and gave plenty of options to rest. The tour was informative. The only drawback was having to wait so long for lunch. You go to a restaurant, stand around to order Then get back on bus to get to cruise departure. This was a waste of time. There is an option to preorder you food online, which we did, but it made no difference. Still had to get through all the motions. Other than is “glitch” the tour was great. Enjoyed spending the day with Nick

Get away from the usual tourists attractions!

This tour gives great insights into the vibrant U Street corridor with its historical attractions like the Howard Theater, Ben's Chili Bowl, etc. The food stops are diverse...and even if you don't like the food on every stop it is worth it to understand the neighborhood's character and diversity. The Civil War monument, along with an impressive and knowledgeable young man in period clothing was a highlight.
