What people are saying about Washington, DC
We used the Washington Hop-On, Hop-Off bus to see as many attractions as possible. We got the 2 day pass and used the first day to prioritize the various monuments and museums we wanted to see. We used the second day to budget our time in seeing all of the attractions we wanted to see and we were already familiar with the bus schedule. The narration provided on most of the routes was also informative and helpful.
Elisabet, at the check in counter, should be more welcoming and less condescending. It’s hard enough to hear her clearly with her accent. She should greet with a smile, speak slowly, and give clear directions as to where the Pavillion is actually located, that is, a little further down, after one exits to the left. Thank you.
Would be better if at beginning go trip showed people how to tune to English. Also at times my ear phones seemed to go out. Perhaps it was the way the speaker was holding the microphone. It probably would be better if narrator did not say poor Japanese who America held in a concentration camp during the war. There are riders whose father died when the Japanese attacked and killed Americans at Pearl Harbor not to mention Americans killed during the whole World War II.
We enjoyed the tour and all of the information which was given by the tour guides. The changing of the guard for the unknown soldier was the most memorable and touching for all of us. We all are grateful for the service of all our military men and women.
Although there were a few glitches due to the Cherry Blossom Festival, the bus drivers and all customer service staff really worked hard to make our trip enriching. If you come to D.C. during a really popular time of year, put some extra time into your day... it is not a bus drivers fault when the traffic is at a dead stop!
