From the cheese weighing house in Volendam to a delightful walk through Edam, followed by a visit to the churning windmills of the Zaanse Schans,…
What people are saying about Volendam
Considering this is a 5 hour trip there was hardly any time to enjoy the wonderful Zaanse Schaans windmills - half an hour there is nowhere near long enough to go inside. We would happily have skipped the cheese farm in order to spend more time there. However the trip covers 3 stunning, unique, unmissable villages. Unfortunately due to a traffic accident our trip was delayed and the time wasn't extended to make up for this which might explain the extra tight schedule. Enjoyed it very much despite the drawbacks.
We really liked the tour! Comfortable bus, funny and informative guide. The only thing we didn't like was lack of free time in Volendam. 30 minutes are terribly not enough for this charming place! Especially if you want not just to explore the village but also grab some food. And give a try for russian language. There are quite a lot of us visiting your country.
I recommend to every one , don't miss it, the Guide was very kind and lovely with my kids, they love her untill my daughter left us and walk always with her, the bus is very clean high quality free wifi in bus very comfortable chairs. This trip every one must get it. My advice to make Volendam & windmills trip one day, and Tulip trip another day. Thank you
The tour itself was great, with a personable and knowledgeable guide. The guide made the tour. The only negative was the Rokin bus stop was hard to locate, and no one we asked in the area was familiar with it either. There was no Grayline rep or Grayline sign there to confirm we were in the correct place.
My wife and I enjoyed all the stops on this activity, and our guide was very good at providing informative insights into the areas we visited. There was a good amount of time at the various stops, although we always like to have a lot of time to explore on our own.
