What people are saying about Victoria, Gozo
This tour is a good introduction to the island of Gozo. Our guide Regina was very good. The Ferry Terminal is extremely busy with other tours as are the major sites included in the itinerary. The optional short boat trip to the caves is a must. I agree with other reviewers that it would have been better to have had more time at the ancient sites and miss out on the shopping. Lunch, as it is on all these types of tours, was pretty basic but there was more than enough to eat and there was insufficient time and possibly choice to eat independently.
Precooked before we left home based on previous reviews and didn’t let us down. A very good way of seeing the rest of Malta as it made the various stops to pick up other passengers. It’s a long, jam packed day and not for the unfit, however it’s a tour not to be missed if it’s your first Malta holiday. Our guide Mario was so passionate about teaching us about his eclectic country - we were all eager to learn.
We have been to Gozo twice before using public transport. This was far more organised and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. It was stifling hot but she always seemed to find us some where in the shade to meet. Our lunch in Xlendi was basic but very filling. The scenery in the whole island is beautiful. I would recommend this tour.
Communications (email) could be improved. after a small query just got automated email reply. Other than having to walk some distance for the pickup, despite the advertising saying that pickup is at your hotel, the tour was very good and enjoyable.
Would have been a shame to come to Malta and not see Gozo - much prettier than the main island without the concrete jungle of ugly hotel blocks. Actual time on Gozo was about 7 hours rather than the promised 10.
