Full description
The waters of Victoria BC are home to three of the major Pods (groups) of Killer Whales. This tour presented by pioneers in the field will offer the unique experience of observing these magnificent mammals in their natural environment.

During the months of April through to the beginning of October the salmon populations are migrating through the Southern Vancouver Island area on their way to the spawning grounds. During these months, our resident Killer Whales spend much of their time around Victoria and San Juan Island feeding on the natural abundance of salmon, one of their principal diet sources. Our extensive spotting network and years of experience in locating the whales ensures a very high success rate for our tours. Our area of operations in the water surrounding Southern Vancouver Island, Victoria, and the Gulf Islands, is the home of pods "J", "K", and "L" numbering approximately 90 whales in total. Our crews are waiting to introduce you to these magnificent mammals and share with you the myriad of other natural wonders abundant in this pristine marine environment.
