What people are saying about Victor Harbor
Friendly tour director/driver/ comfortable 12 seater bus. Tasty lunch included. Well worth the drive across the length of the island to see the Remarkable Rocks and the Admirals Arch. What a magnificent stretch of coastline. Great Photo Ops. Take a spray jacket/windbreaker. The weather can be crazy, even in summer !
this trip is great. takes a full 6 1/2 hours and that boat can really motor- up to 40mph. can be a bit bumpy at times and quite uninspiring - TO START WITH, but it really takes off later on with food on board at an aboriginal island, inhabited many years ago. the walk on this island could take you into the world of being in the sahara desert, stunning sand dunes and a walk into "their world". quite inspiring and a little haunting at times. dig in wet sand for two feet to get PROPER DRINKING WATER !!! . other island stops included as well. a huge thank you to Matt, the boat driver, cook, leader of expeditions, and a stunning wealth of knowledge and so passionate about this land. THIS TRIP NOT TO BE MISSED, (if you don't suffer motion sickness !!)
It is a 2.5 hour drive from the cruise ship terminal to the Flinders Chase National Park, so unfortunately a lot of our time was spent travelling there and back on the bus and we had limited time to see the sights once we were there. Our driver was very friendly and gave us an interesting commentary along the way and we enjoyed seeing the Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, New Zealand Fur Seals, Australian Sea Lions, koalas and kangaroos. This tour was very comparable to one offered by the cruise ship company but by booking through Get Your Guide we saved around $80 each.
