Full description
Meet your guide near St. Mark’s Basilica for a walking tour of some of the most Eastern-influenced areas of Venice, starting from St. Mark’s Square and heading to the Rialto Bridge.

Your guide will reveal the magic of Venice outside some its most famous buildings. Admire the Byzantine façade of St. Mark’s Basilica and the imposing edifice of the Doge’s Palace. Head towards Campo Santa Maria Formosa to learn the story of one of the most beautiful churches in Venice. See the former home of the explorer Marco Polo, and pass the Malibran Theatre, known for having the most extravagant stage in the city.

Then, head back to St. Mark's for an approximate 1.5 hours of free time before your skip-the-line tour of St. Mark’s Basilica.

Re-group outside St. Mark's, and learn the history of one of the world’s most iconic cathedrals. Once inside, get up-close to its gilded mosaics and the rarely seen Pala d’Oro (Golden Pall), one of the most accomplished works of Byzantine art.
