Experience Venice from the land and water on a combined tour of 2 of its best attractions, and see the reflections of sunlight on the canals before discovering the golden interior of St. Mark’s Basilica.

First, take a gondola ride along the enchanting canals. Depart near the Royal Gardens of St. Mark’s, just steps from Piazza San Marco. Sit back as the gondolier takes you to hidden sites, punting the picturesque canals around La Fenice theater and the Grand Canal. Look at the reflections of old palaces and romantic bridges. Admire some of the city’s most important buildings en route to St. Mark’s Square.

Then, skip the long lines to look inside St. Mark’s Basilica, and learn the history of the Byzantine cathedral and its precious interior. Discover why it is known as the “Basilica of Gold” as you admire golden mosaics and masterpieces from the Venetian Republic. Marvel at the normally hidden Pala d’Oro (Golden Pall), one of the most refined and accomplished works of Byzantine craftsmanship.

Very good but ...

The visit was very good and this was due to our very interesting, friendly and funny guide. However disappointed to learn that you had to pay € 5 more if you wanted to access the upper and outer part of the basilica. The price of this visit is therefore very high for so little.

Actually, the offer is quite good, but there was a lack of organization. Different groups were mixed together, which had the success that you are told after the gondola ride. The meeting point is then at St. Mark's Square and the other says The meeting point is again the old location. As a result, the group got lost. But Ms. Elisabeth's guidance in German was very good.

why sell tickets when you know the attraction is closed

Upon arriving at the meeting point, we were told by our local tour operator that the cathedral was closed that day due to a holiday so that entire aspect of the tour was not going to happen. So we ended up paying way too much money for just a simple gondola ride. The local tour operator says Get your Guide does this all the time. This was my first experience buying a tour through them and I will not be using them again after this. It's really false advertising to sell a tour you know you cannot operate. The gondola ride itself was very nice and we definitely recommend adding a gondola ride to your time in Venice.
