What people are saying about Venice

I sent 2 emails about the meeting point asking what the Phoenix was for the meeting point and got no answer. Turns out Phoenix means Fenice in Italian, so the meeting point was the opera house. Also emailed twice about the latest time to pick up the audioguide in order to have enough time to complete the tour and got no answer. Turns out the opera house closed at 6pm, so there was no reason to get there by 1:30pm on the instructions. Get Your Guide needs to hire customer service people who understand English.

We got to the theatre and there was a rehearsal so we could only go to the royal box and look down but what a view! The audio guides were very informative and easy to use. The ballroom was not open as there was a meeting so I would recommend checking if any parts of the theatre are ‘off limits’ before you go to avoid disappointment but this didn’t spoil our visit overall. Well worth visiting!

I cannot recommend this highly enough. We did the dinner and concert. The restaurant didn’t seem to realize that the concert starts earlier in the winter and we were tight time wise, but the food was delicious. And hands down, this was an amazing concert. The setting was great. And the artists were wonderful. It was so enthralling to see their talent and energy as they performed each peace.

Venice: Interpreti Veneziani Concert and Dinner Reviewed by Melissa, 01/19/2020

Meal was really good, easy restaurant to find but the tour operator sent us to the wrong church for the concert and by the time we got to the right one it had already started so had to stand outside until there was a break in the music. also timings need to be put a bit more important as during the winter months the music starts at 830pm and not 9

We made our visit on a Sunday during the Carnival, so everywhere was very crowded and it took longer to find the Opera house, but when we arrived it was well worth the visit, the auditorium was breathtaking with so much gold, and such ornate surroundings. It is a visit that I would do again.
