What people are saying about Venice
I thought 72 hours Classic City pass includes Museum pass, but it includes only 4 St. Marco museums together with public transport and churches.
Able to visit the Doges Palace, the most important site-seeing venue & several adjoining museums & churches. Superb value & the 3 day vaparetto pass lets you hop on & off the 'bus' at will.
We took the 3 days pass plus Alilagina (airport-cruise terminal-airport). When exchanging vouchers for tickets upon arriving at th airport, I was told we could use the tickets to Sn Marco, and later on finish the trip from San Marco to the cruise terminal. That was not so, we had to buy another ticket at €15.-, so beware! Otherwise the 3 days vaporetto were excellent! Would buy them again?
We had some problems initially to convert the voucher into tickets. It took the personel about an hour (and 3 persons) to check that our voucher wasn't false (they said). I showed them a printed version and the digital one in my phone. The Vaporetto is a fast way to get around in Venice. The Alilaguna is much slower, but takes you from Mureno to Lido (and to the airport). It doesn't show when you buy the ticket if the entrance to the Dodge palace is "skip-the-line" (is it?). We didn't use the card for entrances to museums/churches. They never checked our tickets att the Vaporetto. Value for money?
