Full description
Spend some time on the most famous Venetian islands, known throughout the world for their picturesque scenery, craft traditions, and unique history. Departing from near Saint Mark’s Square or Santa Lucia Train Station, take an enjoyable trip across Saint Mark’s Basin, towards the Lido, and then back along the north coastline of the city.

On the boat, a live guide will illustrate the history of the lagoon and the three islands you will visit. Your first stop will be the island of Murano. Sometimes referred to as the “Island of the Glass,” you will visit one of its famous glass factories and see the glass being manufactured and blown. Afterward head to Torcello, the most ancient of the inhabited islands.

Continue to Burano, admiring the natural environment and the minor islands spread all around you. Enjoy some free time in Burano, a typical fishing island with colorful contrasts and chocolate-box painted houses. Look out, too, for much evidence of its renowned lace making and embroidery industry and try some of Burano’s notable homemade cakes.

Please note that once on the ground, this is not a guided tour. The guide will escort you to the glass factory in Murano and the lace shop in Burano. Afterward, you will have time to explore each island on your own.

This boat trip was real value for money by booking through the app it was cheaper than booking at the kiosk, it was good value for money and interesting to see the islands. Highly recommend doing this trip when you visit Venice to get a good all round insight of the history of the fisherman houses, glass blowing and the island that only has 11 inhabitants.

Book It, Murano and the Glass Museum Fascinating! Watching them create a sculpture in like 10 mins just unbelievable skill to watch, Don’t buy from there though straight away, have a wander first there’s much cheaper shops, Burano is just so quaint and gorgeous so colourful! Picturesque! Lots of little shops and eateries and not much in Torcelli but still worth a visit to the little church, I went alone and loved it only wish there was a little more time in Burano for Lunch an hour just isn’t enough this is a MUST DO tour none the less, wear comfy shoes ! Highly recommend - Enjoy!

Polite staff prompt pick up stay at each island was different ie 40 mins in one 55 in one and an 65 mins in another - glass blowing should have been optional as it ate i to our 40 mins visit to the island and the last island there was nothing there Trip would benefit from being just murano 1 hr and burano 2hrs We enjoyed our day and it was a good introduction to the islands
