What people are saying about Venice Biennale
Not so clear to me the prenotation was exactly at the time that you prenote, there was written "valid one day" , the was'nt written that you got to be there 15 minute before and that if you go later and there arent vacante places you lose your prenotation. I found the exibition a little static, the explication written in a little way so that was difficiifficult to read it and mantain the distance in covid time..
I booked my ticket on line and was not sure if they were open post Venice flood. Sent them an email and received a reply the same day. Very efficient! This is one of my favourite galleries, it has great examples of early 20th century art in a manageable dose....with a nice cafe attached. Bonus. The setting is also a stunner as it looks out on the Grand Canal.
The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is my favorite destination in Venice. In addition to a ground-breaking contemporary art collection, it is a memorial to one of history's greatest collectors and patrons of the arts. The palazzo overlooking the Grand Canal and the gardens are unmatched in beauty and tranquility. Go early to avoid the crowds .
Wonderful museum, beautifully displaying some really interesting art. We arrived early afternoon and were pleased to find it not too busy. It became a lot busier later in the day and it would have been harder to appreciate the art when there were many more people. The staff were very polite and helpful.
These were simply jump the cue tickets. After the November 2019 Aqua Alta (Venice floods) tourist numbers were down a little. So cues for normal tickets were only about five minutes anyway. However if always nice to have prepaid tickets.
