What people are saying about Varadero

So much packed into one excellent deal!

We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great adventure. I would advise NOT to book online, however, as it was next to impossible to confirm our booking. One of the two numbers we were given on our printout, to confirm our booking, was out of service. The other number was a residential number and they had no idea what we were talking about. It was a very stressful two hours of trying to get someone in the hotel to help us. Book at the hotel, if you want to make this trip, NOT online!!! If you do decide to take this trip, I would suggest that you may want to put together some little goody/care packages, as there are many young children on the drive to the snorkeling place, that stand on the side of the road, in hopes of getting a little something (candy, toothbrushes/toothpaste, hair bows, etc.) They are not begging, they stand there and wave and smile....happy, beautiful children.....that live in utter poverty. Lots to do and see! :)

The jeep safari, cave swimming and lunch was great !!

This is an all day activity, they cover good places. The swimming in cave was a unique experience, we were not able to do snorkelling due to high winds in the sea. The lunch at the farm house was great, overall a great experience. However, the voucher issued by Get Your Guide is not completely valid; it has to be converted to a local ticket by a local Cuban agency. It was my first visit to Cuba, and getting the voucher converted was a nightmare. The local tourist agent in the hotel had to contact the travel agency in Havana; and spent a good 30-45 mins sorting out the reservation details so that the Jeep Safari guys could pick us up the next morning. I suggest booking all excursions with the tour agent at hotel once you get to Cuba; to avoid a lot of headache / lost time / phone call charges etc.

This whole experience was well worth the money. We had such a lovely time and all the people involved in the trip were great and welcoming. We got picked up at our hotel (albeit a lot later than they said) and then got a boat ride which was amazing fun and exciting to the place where the dolphins are. You get some drinks served on board. Roberto was our man on board and he was entertaining, fun, and welcoming to all! At the dolphin place you get to spend some time in the water with them interacting with them as guided by someone. They were beautiful creatures and so well trained. We had more drinks and danced on the boat ride back and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Cuba. Would highly recommend!

4-Hour Dolphin Adventure Tour from Varadero Reviewed by Emma, 03/23/2020

Great tour and it's one of the most relaxing. The captain and his crew had done a great job in creating great atmosphere throughout the day! It's a pity that I've missed out a lot of jokes in Spanish but everyone was leaving the boat with a smilie face. Swimming with the dolphin is such a life-time experience that one shouldn't miss. The reason I'm taking one star out is because of the condition of the beach that we are brought to, which is not of great condition. Water was milky and sandy with layers of shells on the seabed making it not ideal for a casual walk along the beach. Would advise one to bring along a pair of water activity shoes to avoid getting cuts on the feet.

The tour guide/bar tender was very energetic and did his best to ensure everyone had a good time. Some of his jokes were aimed at an 18+ audience and wasn’t appropriate for my 6 and 2.5 year old. The snorkeling was disappointing, the corals were dead and there really wasn’t much to look at. The beach was beautiful however it was man made and all the sand they imported choked out the marine life which made the beach just littered with shells which was kind of sad. Nothing natural about that beach! The buffet lunch was good.
