What people are saying about Valletta
The bus drivers did not recognise our printed voucher and advised us to use another bus service. On day two of our holiday after wasting the day trying to get on a bus waiting for buses that would not let us ride on them. We called the customer service number on the printed voucher and the man we spoke to was not very helpful saying the bus would arrive outside our hotel at 09.00 hrs and to call if this did not happen. We knew this information was incorrect from the start as the buses did not travel down the road that the hotel was located and as he hadn’t asked us which hotel I was staying in how would he have known this would work It was not until we spoke to the hotel travel concarg was the matter resolved after a phone call to confirm this voucher was correct and he advised us on bus location and timings he put his name and his bosses name on the form in case of any further difficulties.
It had been a nice experience to sail with thw relieving sea breeze through capital's ports and marina's. The explanations were easily nad clearly heard even by most of us who remained outside on the deck. The only problem was that afterwards there was no shuttle serice for us staying in Valetta. After a phone call, however, this was solved after some time.
This tour wasn't one of the 'entertaining' audience participation tours that have become more common and was and extremely informative overview of the history of Malta. Guide was very knowledgeable and able to answer all the questions asked by people on the tour. Thoroughly recommended.
Mattew was so informative and passionate about his Valletta-what a treat to spend 3 hrs with a true professional. Not only did we understand Malta from a totally new perspective, we learnt more history about England’s rulers. Fascinating!
If you do some research ahead of time you might be able to get to the locations on your own easily, but basically we got door to door service with our own itinerary of things I knew I wanted to see with some interesting added history.
