Full description
Explore the legacy of the silk trade in València on an immersive tour of some of its most famous attractions. Enter the emblematic Silk Exchange (Lonja de la Seda), one of the most famous civil Gothic monuments in Europe. Declared a National Historic and Artistic Monument in July 1931, it was also inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 1996.

See the recently restored Higher Art College of Silk, now the Silk Museum, one of the most prominent buildings of Valèncian architecture and culture. Located in a special area in the historical heart of the city – the Velluters neighborhood – it will provide you with the opportunity to experience where most of the silk workers' guilds were based. Admire the Gothic style of the 15th-century building, and look inside at the rich collection of frescoes, murals and mosaics.

Go to the Espai Seda, created to reveal the importance of silk in the city's history, where you can purchase silk at affordable prices. End in the "Albaes" clothing store of the Albaes Indumentaria Valenciana. The company began designing and tailoring clothing in the 1960s and it's a fitting end to your silk route tour.

Afterwards, choose to visit the National Ceramic Museum or L´lber Museum (own expense) for a different take on València's arts and crafts.
