Yeonmi was an excellent guide that we couldn’t have been happier with. She was extremely knowledgeable of all sites we visited and all things japan. She was able to keep our three children entertained all day and read their moods perfectly, changing activities when needed and staying at other sites when our children were focused. The experience and our day spent touring Tokyo was one of our highlights whilst in japan and we couldn’t thank Yeonmi enough for the day. Would highly recommend Yeonmi to anyone wanting a guided tour around Tokyo.
Naomi was an excellent tour guide who clearly loves the Tokyo area and culture. In the fish market she showed us many shops and talked about the things they sold. After that we went to a more commercial part of town for the cooking class. Our instructor, Hitomi, was similarly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The food was amazing, I was inspired to buy a tamago pan so I can start making it at home! I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. If you have any interest in sushi or the fishing industry you owe it to yourself to take this tour.
For the red route, it's a convenient way to get to the major tourist sights in Northeast Tokyo (Asakusa, Akihabara). Can see some, but not much, from the buses themselves so don't plan on taking this as a tour bus alone. It's much more useful if you have time to get out and explore the areas near the stops.
It was a good tour, we had just enough time to wander the 3 places that was included in the tour. We went back to the fish market and spend the day there. Lunch was bad, not very much choices. Boat cruise was 20 minutes to other side of the waterway.
Disappointed that there was not a toilet facility on the coach Disappointed that we, being the last two people on the coach, we're not dropped off where we began, instead dropped in a place where we did not know our way back to the hotel.
