Full description
Watch magnificent humpback whales and orcas feed on shoals of herring when they migrate to Skjervoy between November and January. Enjoy a scenic panoramic drive from Tromso to Skjervoy, then hop into a rigid-inflatable boat (RIB) for a once in a lifetime experience in a small group of between 4-12 people.
Meet at the Scandic Ishavshotel in Tromso bright and early at 6 AM. From here, drive for 3.5 hours to Skjervoy to meet your English-speaking guide. Once in Skjervoy, receive a warm flotation suit before getting into the RIB.
Then, set off on a 2.5-hour whale watching excursion in the Kvaenangen Fjord. Marvel at the natural scenery and keep your eyes peeled for orcas and humpback whales, as well as other local wildlife. After your excursion, refresh with some sandwiches, tea, and coffee before driving back to Tromso.
