What people are saying about Torremolinos

I thought it was a great day trip and well worth it!

My wife & I really enjoyed this day tour. It was fun & enlightening! We saw lots of not so great reviews so were skeptical but honestly I don't know what people expect for the amount of money paid & the time it takes to get there & back...all in all we thought it was exceptionally well run & organized. If you are looking for free time to shop & wander the city on your own this is not the tour for you - it is a fast paced organized tour with no time to spend exploring on your own. TIP: take eros for the street hawkers...they are VERY persistent but if you know this going in & keep a good attitude its over soon enough and some of them have pretty cool stuff plus it gets cheaper the closer you get to leaving...My only negative comment would be when we got back to Spain we had to wait quite awhile at the port for our bus to take us back because the bus driver had driven to many hours earlier & we had to wait out his mandatory rest period - they had cold beer so it was all good!

Très belle excursion, avons beaucoup aimés

May 16, we had booked the excursion to Cordoba. When the tickets were sent to me, it was stated that the meeting point would be the Natali Hotel in Torremolinos because we live in a condo building in Benalmadena right next to the Triton Hotel. We went in morning by taxi to the hotel Natali to start our excursion. As the distance was quite important for the early hour of the morning, we took a taxi, the race cost us 10 Euros. The guide who accompanied us said that we could have been taken care of this morning in front of the hotel Triton because the bus started its journey to Estepona and ended in Malaga. I find it deplorable that you asked us to move and for other guests, they were taken care of in front of their hotel. I have another trip on May 23 for the Caminito Del Ray and this time I am asked to move to Torremolinos at the Plaza del Lido on the seaside promenade near the tourist office. Can you take care of me in Bemalmadena, near the police office. Thanks

Good quick visit (but long day) to Tangier

No issues there so I won't spend time on that. In Tangier we spent maybe 4 hours. Bus ride to the camels (you walk like 10 feet), bus ride to the old city, walk around to restaurant (food was fine), walk to carpet pitch (30 min in there), walk to medicine/Moroccan oil pitch (30 min in there), walk back to bus to take to ferry. The carpet place was annoying if you don't want one, but again it's 30 minutes. I actually found the medicine/oil pitch fun and didn't mind it. The best advice I can give is that if you want souvenirs (like magnets, postcards) buy them from the people on the street you pass walking. You won't get another chance. Have your money out and ready so you won't get left behind! The bus on the way back made us wait almost 2 hours because the driver had to rest (mandated) before he could drive again. This could have easily been solved by having 2 drivers. It's crazy they made us wait on the street for hours because they wouldn't pay another person.

Good easy tour - great for simple tourists - would recommend

We were picked up form the city center in Malaga. The trip to Gibraltar took a few hours. After passing customs we had some free time to explore the city which is very British looking (what I did not expect). We almost got lost on the way back to the meeting point so remember your way! We then took a local tour with a minibus to the main sights there (the europe point, the caves). the guide was very funny and relaxed - former military. Afterwards some more time for shopping/eating/sightseeing and then travelling back. Travel time was about 6 hours (3 to and 3 back), the tour was also about 3 hours long.

Easy way of getting to Nerja and Frigiliana for the day.

They were both lovely towns to visit. We enjoyed being free to explore ourselves. I do think there should be details in the half-day your ad that you will be gone 10 hours, not 5! The tour was 5 but 5 hrs of bus riding. No one knew what time we would return. Our guide was multilingual and showed great enthusiasm for the Caves and we learned a lot. Would highly recommend you see the caves as that made the trip! I liked that we got to drive through Torreminos and Malaga a bit as well.
