Royal Ontario Museum

Visit this natural history museum for state of the art exhibits that bring historical events to life. The beautiful modern building is a sightseeing hotspot in itself.

Planning Your Toronto Visit

When to visit Toronto?

For the best weather, visit Toronto during summer, as the winter can be relentless. However, many people choose to plan their trip around a particular festival, as Toronto is in no short supply. Toronto International Film Festival is a huge draw, and takes place annually in August. Toronto Gay Pride spans an entire week at the end of each year - the city takes its LGBT rights seriously. Local sporting calendars and seasons are also worth consideration.

Where to stay?

Toronto has a great selection of hotels for visitors, business travelers, families and couples. Hostels are also plentiful, and a great choice for backpackers and people on a budget.

  • Best time to visit
The summer months are the best. The temperatures are warm, outdoor markets abound, and there's an endless supply of events. But that also means there are lots of crowds, and prices on accommodations and flights are much higher. If you can, try to visit at the beginning or end of the season.

What people are saying about Toronto

Magical - glad I could enjoy all without grandchildren!

Very impressed with long awaited visit. Enjoyed watching the kids having a wonderful time and now understand why my grandchildren love visiting.

My family and I loved our Aquarium experience!

Thank you so much for the ease of getting tickets and enjoying a whole new world!

A fantastic way to visit Niagra falls at your own pace.

Had a great day with Alex, our driver for the day, who took us to all the main points of interest. I had pre-purchased tickets for the Journey behind the falls and the Skylon Tower, but he still took us to the venues to ensure we knew where we were going. He had a good knowledge of the area and was able to point out interesting things along the way. The vehicle was very clean and comfortable with an unlimited supply of water which was welcomed on such a hot sunny day.

Fabulous ,amazing absolutely loved it !!!

It was our first visit to Ripley’s Aquarium as a part of our weekend getaway . We will make a point of coming to Ripley’s Aquarium whenever we’re in Toronto. It was actually kind of romantic. Way to go Ripley’s !!!

Great, well worth the money, amazing tour

Right from the start it was good, our tour guide Jon arrived early at our hotel. Was friendly and bubbly and made us feel at ease straight away. The CN Tower was great and to be honest the tour was worth the money to bypass the massive queue for being attempting to get to the top for the sunset, needless to say with the tour we were able to get to the top easily and quickly. Then it was onward to other locations across the city. I would recommend this to anyone who has never been and for a first night trip because it helps to make you understand the layout of the city. 100% going to recommend this to others
