Full description
Meet your guide in Zocodover Square and visit two exhibitions on this 90-minute tour. Enjoy walking a little bit inside the city before entering this fascinating exhibition about Witchcraft and Fantastic Creatures.

Immerse yourself in an alien world where potions, ointments, and even satanic pacts were the solution to all problems. Hear about how witchcraft not only could bring your love back, but also allowed you to contact the dead, or to cast an evil eye on hated neighbours. Be amazed by creatures like mermaids, gnome,s and goblins, conserved in formaldehyde, that will make you question if you are dreaming or awake.

Then, along with your guide, visit the exhibition about the torture and punishment of the Inquisition. Learn how the Inquisition challenged all magical practices for being a threat to the Catholic faith and contrary to its principles. Take a look at the aberrant punishments like the Sanbenito. Admire gruesome devices of torture like the wooden horse or the Iron Maiden - frightening objects which were thought to be necessary to a wild society in the eyes of the Inquisition.

  • Entrance to Witchcraft and Fantastic Creatures
