What people are saying about Tokyo

Great tour with great guide Mikko off the beaten tracks

I booked this 3.5 hour tour in the older part of Tokyo to see isomething different than the main touristic areas. Mikko, our guide was very passionate about this area in which she also lived. She did a great job in explaining the culture and history of the area and I can advise you to consider this tour. You will walk in back streets, visit the grave of the last Shogun, very nice and quiet temples and at the end the local shopping street. No high rise buildings but small local houses wit tiny gardens. Thank you Mikko for guiding us through the area and making sure we had a nice time. Learned something, had fun and a healthy walk.

We loved the hot springs but hated that the bus didn't arrive

The Onsen was great however the fact that we caught the train to the Shinagawa railway station to greet the bus (which was in the instructions) we arrived at the correct time and waited 30 mins and the bus didn't arrive and I phoned the Travel agent who didn't help at all so we had to then hail a cab which cost us an addition $A40.00 which we weren't happy about if we hadn't taken a cab we wouldn't have been able to arrive there.

Great day. Excellent views on very clear day.

Bus tour was excellent. Great views from park opposite Mount Fuji, trip to lake would be better in the summer, unfortunately very windy when we were there. Trip to village in afternoon that had been buried in mudslides years ago was fascinating. Could do without looking for the 6 Buddha gods which our coach thankfully agreed to miss out on. Other than that, a great day with picture postcard views of Mount Fuji.

We enjoyed from the beginning to the end.

We have to said thank you very much to Vicky for her help before the tour started, to communicate with us to be able to meet with her infront of the Toshogu Shrine to start the tour and also she was to inform all the way the rest of the tour

a great educational experience in a beautiful part of town.

Sumiko was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide, that explained absolutely everything. The tour was very personal and a wonderful way to experience a part of Tokyo that was completely unexpected but absolutely fantastic.
