What people are saying about Tokyo
Tokyo is a fantastic place for food, but Sato enhances the food experience to another level! Sato opens his home to you to give you a true appreciation of Japanese culture as well as the deliciousness of Asian cuisine! His friendly and open personality puts you at ease from the moment you meet him. He’s willing to share his story and history which creates an atmosphere of trust. The class becomes more than just a cooking class, rather it’s cooking with friends! The absolute star attraction however is the food! We made Ramen and Gyozas which were just out of this world. Sato gives great, simple tips that you can take home with you. If food is something you love (and surely that’s why you’re coming to Tokyo?), an evening with Sato is highly recommend! Thanks so much Sato for an incredible night!
this was extremely good experience. I took my colleagues from other countries, but they loved this experience as this involves not just bay cruise, but full course dinner and all you can drink! we also loved how this dinner cruise involves many other local groups on board which make it really authentic experience. they made stops at 2 points where you can overlook Tokyo skytree and Rainbow bridge and there, you can go up on the roof and take picture. boat staff rent us traditional wear. just need to be aware that departing time of this boat is varied depending on the date and condition, supplier sent us update me on when the dinner cruise depart when they finalized so need to check email.
Satoru-san was a great teacher who was happy to share his life story and why cooking is so important to him, as well as answering our questions and making fun conversation in the appropriate moments. Also, it was very interesting to visit a local's home and see what delicious Japanese food can be made at home! We didn't only watched the cooking but also participated in the process, chopping, seasoning, prepping, and so on, while learning about the ingredients, the recipe and their place in Japanese cooking, making it all the more fun.
Had such an amazing experience learning traditional Japanese cooking today!! Sato is a great chef, great company and great tour guide. Best ramen and gyoza’s we’ve had (and first time making). Definitely recommend this cooking experience with Sato!!! :)
Tour of temple area, as well as visiting an izakaya, sake bar, and Tokyo's oldest bar. This tour would be better if it spent less time in the temple area and more time sharing culture/history through Japanese food.
