What people are saying about Tokyo
This was a lovely experience. Everything was taken care of, so we could just sit back and relax. The hostess was very nice, her English was very easy to understand. She also knew a lot of little extras, so while other tourists missed out on things or walked past things, our guide would stop us and point to something interesting. The caves were both small, but very interesting and the climb was fun. The cable cart ride was enjoyable, out guide asked the staff if we could take the next ride so we'd be the first to pick a place. The local udon was delicious and super filling. The view of mount Fuji was gorgeous. We had some time left before going to the brewery so she asked the driver to go to the other side of the lake to take some pictures of the mountain and the lake. The visit to the brewery was super interesting and the lady giving the tour was very sweet. If you only have a few days in Japan, I would 100% recommend you take this trip. The price is also super cheap in my opinion!
What makes me know I'll remember this tour for the rest of my life was not so much the substance of the tour but the people comprising the tour group itself (guide included). Ayaka is an amazing, down to earth guide. She along with my fellow tourists became, somehow, seasoned drinking buddies by the end of the tour. Don't be shy or anti social. Get to know your guide and your fellow tourists around the table and I can almost guarantee you'll have a great night. Also, if you end up at Bar Araku, look up at the ceiling for the purple 100 PHP bill that has a little quip about "envelopes" and know you are staring at evidence of an amazing night by all whose initials dawn that bill.
Awesome time on this trip and easiest to smash it was the highlight of our time in Japan. The caves are Small, but enjoyable, lunch was a heaping bowl of soup, and picture time up on the mountain was perfect for us, no wait to get up and down on the cable car. We had time to sit on the crest of the lake after the cable car and after lunch to relax and take In the fresh air and country side. Finally, the Sake tasting was more of a Sale making tour, which was great! Host and driver were pleasant and fun to be with. Highly recommend this tour.
It was so nice to get out of the city for the day and see some of the countryside. It was raining on and off but didn’t spoil our activities. Our group was quite small so made the bus trips comfortable - you could spread out in the minibus. Everyone was surprised how lovely our lunch was, except for the gent who was very fussy with hls food.
Amazing tour, we really had fun and Carlos is really nice and knowledgable. Food was awesome and the places we went too !! He answered so many of my questions, fun, fun, fun !! The group was great too.
