What people are saying about Tirano
Loved the trip but bi-lingual translations from the driver were tiring. Our driver was excellent but the tour guide had very little of interest to say. "On the right is a river that runs into lake Como."While that was obvious to us, he could have offered info that was more interesting or informative. He took us to Tirano church but never mentioned its significance, that a miracle in 1504 when the blessed mother appeared to a resident, which was why the church was built. (I read this in the church brochure.) I did not take the tour for its guide so ultimately, I loved the scenery and beauty of the Alps. For some unfamiliar with maps or the area, he could have offered more.
A really beautiful tour to do during autumn times. The weather was wonderful. The 16 euros lunch special was a bit much but not outrageous. Sitting on the left side you get more view going up but on the right side you get more view going down. One guide did most of the talking but the other guide barely spoke anything interesting and she just passed out guides.
Everything was simply fantastic! We had the fortune to experience the Bernina Train journey on the beautiful greenery and in the last 30 minutes we had the luck tp experience and enjoy the scenery of the mountains surrounded by the snow!!! It was incredibly amazing!!
The tour offers a wonderful way to view the beautiful countryside and mountains of Switzerland. St. Moritz was a huge disappointment. Nothing was opened and little to see at that time of year. The food and service at the restaurant was lacking.
Excellent range of activities en route - plenty of food and rest-room stops, time to walk around village and see lovely church on the way. Only an hour at St Moritiz, but just enough time for a quick walk and meal or shopping. Great guide.
