As a solo traveler and non-Spanish speaker, I liked how art descriptions were detailed in both English and Spanish and they had a few notable artworks that you wouldn’t expect like a Rothko, Toulouse le trec, Georgia o keef , and monetize to name a few. Be sure and check to see if you want to see is not on exposition somewhere else. A good 3 hours is all you need to see everything and go down to the basement to see their latest exposition. You will not be disappointed. Lastly, you can take pictures and you can drink and take water but not around the artwork.
The museum is not so big but if you are in Madrid you don't have to miss to visit; the collection of paintings is amazing and you must really see it. After you finish the visit you can take a snack at the terasa Thyssen-Bornemisza
One of my favourite collections - and an amazing introduction/overview for anyone wanting to know about the history of art through the ages. Spectacular collection and the audio explanations were helpful.
Even if you are visiting out of season, make sure to get a "Skip-the-line" ticket. It's a true time saver. The museum itself, is by far the best out of the three in the famous "Art Walk".
The collection, curation and overall arrangements of the gallery were outstanding and your staff were very helpful - this was in contrast to our experience at the Prado
