Full description
Start your tour at The Volcano House to learn about the geology of Iceland, with a mineral exhibition and hourly Volcano Cinema. Receive information on the geothermal activity of Iceland, one of the most volcanically active places on earth, with 200 volcanoes divided into 30 volcanic systems, and an eruption every 4-5 years.

Then embark on a scenic full-day minibus tour of the Golden Circle from Reykjavik. Feast your eyes on the scenic stops at Thingvellir National Park, where Iceland's parliament was founded in 930 AD and is the location where the tectonic plates meet. Head to the stunning Geysir geothermal area where you can witness the geyser Strokkur erupt every 5 minutes. See the powerful and hypnotizing natural phenomenon of the thundering Gullfoss waterfall. Take an easy hike to Oxararfoss waterfall and admire the breathtaking scenery.

Next, stop at Laugarvatn geothermal lake which contains geothermal springs under its surface, making it a popular swimming spot with some warm patches along the shoreline year-round. Continue on to the Kerid volcanic crater, one of several crater lakes in the area, known as Iceland's Western Volcanic Zone which has the most visually recognizable caldera still intact. End your incredible day with a visit to Krysuvik, situated on the Reykjanes peninsula in the middle of the fissure zone on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge which traverses Iceland.
