What people are saying about Thessaloniki
Alltogether I enjoyed the trip, the drive was long, but our guide was giving us information on the Mount Olympus we passed, How its related to the God Zeus and How Alexander the great assembled his armies. I enjoyed the trip and the Beauty to see in Greece. A really good opportunity to Escape The City Life and see something breathtaking in nature. We went to 2 Monasteries as promised. And in between we went to a really nice Spot to take pictures. It was basically the highland of taking pictures. The guys should make sure to wear pants for the monasteries, based on their religious beliefs.
Perfect food tour. You get much more than described. Georgia, the excellent guide, met me at the location and we went on a four hours tour that felt like 10 minutes because it because it was so good. We tried out and tasted so many foods all of them were excellent. This Tour is highly recommended and don’t hesitate to take the four or six hour tour it because they’re worth it.
Our guide, Tasos, was excellent. He has a wonderful knowledge of Thessaloniki and its history - and was a charming companion to explore the sights of the old city. Highly recommended!
Our driver, George, picked us up at the arranged time and drove us safely to our destinations. He is a very safe, patient driver with good historical knowledge which made the trip more interesting. The museum at Pella was well laid out and contained many interesting artefacts and mosaics. Museum staff were very helpful and friendly. Sadly the excavation area at Pella was not quite as good as others we have visited either due to lack of money or poor excavation. There is the potential for improvements for the benefit of visitors should the museum wish to make them. Vergina was amazing. Nice little town with an awesome museum. Not seen one like it before. 2 great tombs surrounded by the museum within the tumulus. Highly recommended to anyone interested in history. Lunch in Vergina was well priced and enjoyable.
Our tour guide was so friendly and accommodating and the Pozar baths were great and virtually empty since it was off-season! The waterfalls in Edessa were magnificent!
