This tour was awesome! The meeting point is easy to find, the guide was punctual and very informative. (Can't remember her name, she was the lady that speaks 4 languages including Italian, French, and English.) I don't normally like guided tours, I prefer doing my own thing, but I wanted to do this, to have a basic understanding on Venice itself as well as on the Venetian culture. This was the perfect experience for me, especially since our group was very small (7 of us all together). You have the option NOT TO take the boat ride back as well - which exactly what my choice was, since my hotel was right by St. Mark's.
Our guide was great, we learned a lot about the city and the tour was just the right amount of time. Even little thingS you wouldn’t noticed at first become evident as the tour guide points them out to you.... super cool experience and highly recommended. We even had the tour while the high tie was in which was a good reflection of the tour company (not to cancel)
Excellent tour! I called the operator 2 days prior and asked to arrange prepaid tickets and expedite access, which worked perfect too. The tour lasting 2 hours just covers Marcus Dom and the Dogenpalace and even just for this 2 topics the time is short.
The walking tour was a great intro to the city of Venice. It blended the history of how Venice started as a refuge from the Barbarians to it's dominance in global trade in the renaissance era.
Elderly Italian gentleman guide knew so much, he had such extensive experience. Quite a strong accent but still understandable if you listen closely.
