What people are saying about The Little Museum of Dublin
Very happy with our experience on the DoDublin's Hop-on Hop-off bus. We enjoyed having access to the many sites we wanted to see in the city, and although we had to wait for a half an hour or more for a bus to arrive at Heuston Station, that was the only time we had a long wait. Every other situation was quick. We enjoyed the tour information as well ... much was discussed about parts of Dublin on the tour that we were unfamiliar with, and liked learning about.
Bus driver early on day 1 (Stephen) provided excellent historical commentary with humor. Enjoyed the full purple route tour before hopping off to do my own exploring. Day 2 I used bus to get to nearby stops of attractions I wanted to see or get to meeting sites with friends. Would recommend doing the green bus first to orient to cityscape.
The tour was good value as you could hop on and off as many times as you wanted in the day. The drivers were informative, although some of them were more entertaining than others. I recommend the tour, however if I was doing it again, I would book the tickets at the places in the city as it is cheaper than through this website!
The 1st bus: the 4 speakers above our heads did not work (!) so we couldn't hear the bus driver/tour guide very well, On the 2nd bus, the speakers were loud & clear, the tour guide not only told us good stories but sang several Irish songs related to the area he was pointing out, which enriched the stories and was good craic.
Fantastic way to see and explore Diblin. The bus drivers, using their local knowledge pointed out places of interest but also little bits of local knowledge (road closures, queueing times, good pubs/bars etc) All the bus drivers had HUGE personalities; jokes, songs and fun all part of the journeys.
