This was truly an amazing place to visit and it was all organized so well! We had met one person who told us that we will be taking the train with him (while handing us tickets) and guided us from the train station to the bus, where is also told us how to get back to London from the train station since we had open ended train tickets for our return. We then had a new guide inside the studio. She was someone who was enjoyable, but really focused on what her interests were. I understand that there is A LOT to see, but for example, we stood in front of the description of the directors of the films from over the years and explained why they did these movies, etc. That is information we could have Googled if we wanted to. She did point out a lot of small details throughout the tour that really big Harry Potter fans would enjoy. After the guided tour, you were allowed to go back into the exhibits and take your time reading and reviewing. Overall, this was a very memorable experience.
Direct tickets for HP Warner Brothers sell out nearly 4-6 months in advance; this option was a last resort option for not knowing the popularity of the place. The surprise was that the drive worked out well. It was a clean van with a driver that got us back and forth without any issues. London travel is a hassle via public transportation and foreign travelers simply should not drive. Warner brothers is nearly an hour drive outside of the city pick-up point (Baker Street) so frankly it was worth the price. Meeting somebody outside a Starbucks seems weird but rest assure a man with a Harry Potter hat and a list of booked names made it happen. As for the HP Warner visit it’s on par if not better than Universal in Orlando.
I would 100% go back to Harry Potter, but would not book with a tour as they don't leave enough time to get the full experience, go on your own and leave on your own, it's not hard to get there. They only give you about 4 hours to see it with a tour that picks you up and dops you off and I ended up missing the bus and luckily got on the second (not everyone will) but I could have used at least two more hours there than they alloted us.
These tours give you the transport and 3 hours to experience the studio, which is NOT enough!!! We hired the tour a d went with the driver but we decided to go back to London by bus+train because we wanted to stay more than 3 hours. Go by yourself by train + shuttle bus! Just make sure you buy the Studio tickets in advance.
For us the experience was wonderful; however, it was overly priced and I would have liked a less pricey option that I did not have. If we are paying that much, I would like to stay longer at the studios, we practically rushed through in order to see everything.
