Full description
The 2-hour basic surf course is a good option for beginners who would like to try the sport, and for others who are keen to take their surfing a step farther. All the lessons are held in Playa La Punta, on the sandy beach of El Poris de Abona.

You’ll check in at the surf school 10 minutes before the lesson starts. This is followed by a transfer to the beach, where you’ll change into surfing gear and then learn some theory.

Next is a warm-up, some practice on the sand, and then practice in the water. End with some stretching and then you’ll head back to the school.

The course includes a 2-hour lesson in the morning in groups of up to 6 students per instructor. The instructor is licensed by the Spanish and the Canarian surfing federations. You will be provided a surfboard, wetsuit and Lycra shirt. You’ll have use of the surf school facilities and be covered by civil liability and accident insurance.

Note that there is a minimum age of 8 years to participate and you must know how to swim.
