Full description
Explore the north of Israel on this full-day tour to Galilee and Nazareth. After pickup from Tel Aviv and the surrounding area, drive to the village of Nazareth, where Jesus spent his early years. Visit the Grotto of the Annunciation, the most significant Christian shrine in Nazareth.
Continue to the Church of Annunciation. Built in 1969, it is the largest Catholic church in the Middle East. Admire the beautiful frescoes, as well as the icons and images of saints presented to the temple from all over the world. Then drive along the Sea of Galilee, past important Biblical sites like the village of Capernaum.
Proceed to the Tabgha area, the site of the Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fish. This church was built on the site where, according to Christian tradition, the miracle of the multiplication of bread and fish took place. The modern church stands where two historical churches once existed. The final stop is at the Yardenit baptismal site, where you'll have the chance to bathe in the Jordan River. Afterwards, return to your original departure point.
