Fantastic Experience! Highly Recommended!

We are absolutely happy we booked this tour! We certainly enjoyed the tour of the historical center of Palermo. However, the real treat for us was the tour guide herself, Patrizia. She is not only knowledgeable, but also has a warm and enthusiastic love of Palermo and Sicily which she eagerly shared with us. We felt like insiders discovering the hidden architectural gems in the city while enjoying typical, traditional street foods at local markets. Not content to be a great tour guide alone, Patrizia displayed her culinary skills as well with a wonderful lunch of traditional Sicilian foods. We also recommend the food and wine tasting tour. We were joined by Patrizia's husband Alfredo, who impressed us with his considerable knowledge of Sicilian wines. We tried six different grape varieties and a dessert wine. We ate, drank, and laughed the afternoon away while enjoying the warm hospitality of Patrizia and Alfredo. We will visit again to spend more time with our new friends!

Truly Amazing! An absolute must!! Our best experience in Palermo!

Our guide, Christina, was amazing! We overslept and she waited for us at our rendezvous point for almost an hour. We struggled with internet connections trying to get directions but she waited - unheard of in the states. When we did connect we found her to be warm, knowledgeable and engaging. A native Sicilian, she was able to answer all of our questions and expose us to a whole new culture. We saw many sights and learned about Saint Rosalie (the patron saint of Sicily) who saved the Sicilians from the black plague. We saw a church that was originally constructed before Christ and added to over 3 centuries. She took us to great food markets and finally cooked us an amazing authentic Sicilian pranza which included great wines and unique delicacies which we will remember forever. Do not miss this tour!!

A wonderful tour of central Palermo and an excellent home-cooked meal

My wife and I greatly enjoyed this tour on which we were the only members . Our guide, Maria, was very personable and friendly, and patiently answered all our questions about Palermo. We saw the wonderful highlights of central Palermo as advertised in the guide, and Maria even found time to take us to a coffee shop where my wife could purchase Italian coffee beans to take home. At the end of the tour, Maria took us to an apartment used by her tour company, to cook us an excellent Sicilian lunch (the meal was so good!). She also provided us with very good Sicilian wines to taste. In addition, Maria provided my wife with several tips on cooking Italian food, which she use at home. It was a most enjoyable morning and early afternoon in Palermo, thanks to Maria.

This was one of the best/coolest tours we have ever taken..

Our guide was personable and extremely knowledgeable about Palermo history, the churches and the theatres and the monuments - just wish I could remember it all - what a great day. We loved the markets and tasting some of the traditional Sicilian treats at the different shops. As it turned out we were a group of two, so we had a wonderful experience. The traditional Sicilian lunch in the chef's private home was delightful and we talked about cooking, and recipes, and wines, and cheeses. What a great hostess. It was much more than we had expected. Would recommend to anyone.

Marialuisa was knowledgeable, sensitive, caring and flexible.

What a great idea -a walking tour in Palermo with Marialuisa! What a nice personality ... she knows the merchants in the market and the hidden treasures and byways of the city. With a good command of English, she showed a great read of our interests and physical capabilities as we made our way around this bustling, fascinating city. A highlight was the very personal meal she prepared for us in her nearby apartment at the tour's end.
