Full description
After being collected from your accommodation in Tbilisi, you will hit the road with your guide. Your first stop will be to the Saint Nino Bodbe Monastery, where you will find relics of the educator of Georgia Saint Nino, who died in the same place in 347 A.D.

Following this, you will move to Signagi, the city of love. This small town on a mountain slope is located on the terraces connecting twisting and abrupt streets. Because of its good and concealed location, it was never captured by enemies. In this city, you will also discover a round-the-clock registry office where foreigners can get married any time they wish.

The next place on your tour is Winemaking Khareba, which is a famous tunnel utilized for the unique storage of the best wines of the region of Kakheti. Guests will be given an opportunity to taste about 40 types of wines, accompanied by baked bread. You will also be invited to make "churchkhela", to prepare a barbecue, to take part in vintage “rtveli”, and to learn of the production of wine.

Following this, you will reach Gremi Castle, the imperial fortress and a complex of the Church of Archangels. It is located on a hill and consists of the church of Archangels Mikhail and Gabriel, the bell tower, the 3-storeyed palace and a wine cellar (marani). The complex is surrounded with a wall, towers and embrasures. Finally, you will visit Ilia's Lake, where you will discover that the opposing bank of the Alazani River runs smoothly along the Caucasus Gorge. Ilia Lake is a nice small dammed lake, located on the south slope of the range near the Duruji River. At the conclusion of your day, you will be driven back to Tbilisi and returned to your point of origin.
