Olive Oil Tour

Visit an artisan olive oil producer's farm in the Eastern Algarve and learn how olive oil is made. The farm has existed since Roman times, with origins in the 20 hectares of olive groves in Moncarapacho. 

This half-day tour takes you on a short, one kilometer walk with the farmer in the olive groves. He'll explain the history of olive oil and the techniques used to produced this top-quality product. You'll see the olive trees, the granite stone mill where they're ground into a paste and the state-of-the-art equipment used to extract the oil. Of course, at the end of it all, you'll taste several different olive oils!

By the end of the tour, you'll have indulged in the delicious scents and flavors of olive oil and know all about its origins and production.
