After being picked up from your hotel, you will begin by journeying into the rolling hills of the Caldeirão Mountains. Admire the natural beauty of this stunning landscape, listen to the gentle bubbling of mountain streams and discover the skills of local craftspeople. From the mountains, the tour will proceed to the historical center of São Brás with its eclectic mix of whitewashed houses and the grander residences of the former industrialists and businessmen of the cork trade. In the Ethnographic Museum of Costumes of the Algarve, learn more about local culture and take a trip back in time to when the locals used to dance the “corridinho” at threshing time. After São Brás, your guide will take you to Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo in search of the tile makers who have been there for centuries. Take in the wonderful scents of the surrounding orchards, full of almond and orange trees. For your final visit of the day, you will head to the tranquil Moinhos da Rocha waterfall and lake hidden within the hills.
