Excellent day trip - good value for money

Thoroughly enjoyed our day. Was 11 hours from pick up to drop off, so a long day, but lots to see and do. Our driver Simon was a top guy and we would certainly recommend this trip.

Wonderful cheerful helpful good coffee by Clare, our guide excellent

My husband and I went on the Ghost Tour 27/12/18, it was the first time I have been to the historic sight since my 13th Birthday & we had such fun! We even caught a few things on camera which were not visible to the naked eye, and we have sent them in to be analysed, creepy spooky pics that make your spine shiver! We will definitely go again when we are On The Island. Such gloriously tended gardens and trees! We were made to feel so welcome and with huge thanks to all Staff, and our tour guide, and to our fellows who shared this scary evening with us! Bless! Happy 2019!!! Bonnie and Sabeeh

Great tour guide but Port Arthur overrated

Adeline, our tour guide was brilliant, friendly, very personable, extremely helpful and very informative, she went out of her way to do everything we could have wanted. Port Arthur itself was interesting but, like most of the Tasmanian convict heritage stuff, the Female Factory, for instance, or Sarah Island, it made the most of the horrors of the worst aspects of transportation but really gave very little of the context and of the convict experience of the majority of those transported who were not serial offenders but who were assigned to farmers and householders in the community. The cruise round the bay was brief but pretty.
