Carlos is a nice tour guide though we could hardly understand his English. We had a wonderful morning in Tangier, spending some time to the scenic spots including the Cap Spartel and the Hercules Cave, then an early lunch at a traditional Moroccan style restaurant. Quite nice food but hope we could try more dishes and larger portion. The local tour guide then brought us to take a walk at the Medina, a local market at the city centre. Good experiences walking through these narrow streets but honestly not feeling comfortable that the guides lead us to two local shops selling handmade textiles and spices, and we actually knew that the local guide gains commission from these shops. Apart from these hard sell parts exactly the same as the style in tours in China, Tangier was a nice city. The tour was a good choice for those who’d like to explore Morocco within a day, though we had to wake up very early in the morning and spend hours in travelling between two countries.
A very well organised and good value trip with, in our case, an excellent english-speaking guide full of stories and character. Lots to see with the itinerary varied to suit the weather if too hot. A long day from Seville, but worth the effort for a special day out. A fair bit of walking in Tangier itself but several stop opportunities and an excellent loch with traditional fare.
Guide (Greg) and local guide (Rashid) were great. Left at 0530 and did not get back until 2345. No provisions were made for a dinner break, so we went to bed without anything due to restaurants being closed in Sevilla by the time we got back. Thought the stop at the herbalist was just a sales pitch. Not good. The group was 28 total people...too many.
Our guide in Tangier was outstanding! He was so helpful in terms of where to buy certain souvenirs and keeping us safe in certain areas. Lunch was very authentic, and we visited a variety of locations across the city. Overall, a great trip!
