Fantastic, affordable experience! Would definitely recommend.

Great experience only to be bettered by Dubai's Burj Khalifa. It only cost £12 (booked online the night before) for the 350m platform but I opted for the 450m platform which was just £21. This is a bargain considering it's the world's 2nd tallest building, especially when comparing with the likes of the Empire State Building, which was amazing, but cost about £40 in 2014 to reach "a measly" 381m high on the 102nd floor. There's also a museum which is impressive and large interactive screens to understand which building is which. We even spotted our hotel from the top! The department score and array of restaurants lower down is very impressive. It's a city in itself, not just a tower.

Useful but cable was frayed so it didn’t charge so

Using a portable WiFi is a great option and this was super reliable. The battery lasted for a good 10 hours with regular use. The unit got quite hot in our bags and we noticed towards the end of the first week that the cable was a little damaged which meant it didn’t charge properly. We had another with us so used that and it worked fine. As we were travelling around, only staying in a place for a day we didn’t feel it would make sense to exchange the unit or request a new cable as we had the replacement already but I’m sure one could have been arranged if needed. Very reliable service with the unit waiting in our room when we arrived with a return envelope included.

Enjoy the view from the top (if the weather permits)

We were lucky and went up on a sunny day. The fact that we could chose within 3 days from the booking date also helped us. Get the vouchers exchanged was easy enough and the view itself was of course very nice (350m). We did not go all the way up (450m), as some of the reviewers already mentioned that it would not be worth the additional fee. The glass bottom was not really that exciting, as the tiles/area was too small, but some people were actually too scared to walk over it.

Our family were pleased by the variety. The guide was great.

We enjoyed the variety. Our guide knew Tokyo, English and tourists' needs. And she had a good sense of humor. One drawback: the bus and some of the tour stops are geared for normal, mobile legs. My legs and those of a few others were over challenged getting on and off the bus and did not attempt the "10" minute walks.

Fabulous insight to Japan’s culture and Tokyo’s landmarks

Antonina was super warm welcoming and friendly and happy to lead us and let us also decide where and what to see Great way to start our adventure Learning what to eat and what to see Highly recommended
