The young instructor assigned to us was clearly new and finished our briefing in 5mins. However, for a later batch, a senior guy gave detailed and correct instructions. But, there's nothing to worry, the learning curve isn't too steep. We initially went round in circles for first few minutes. But, soon figured out ourselves how to go forward and steer. Excellent guidance on route selection and help in getting in and out of the kayak by the other staff members. Remember to carry water to drink on the kayak, you will get thirsty. 2 hours is more than adequate to do a full circuit of both Långholmen and the smaller Reimersholme islands. The route is quite beautiful especially in the smaller canal sections. A waterproof action camera or case for your smartphone is highly recommended for taking pictures along the way. If the weather's good, there will be lot of private boats creating waves. Be wary of those! We almost got turned over by a big one! Happy Kayaking!
The "Stockholm Syndrome" tour, guided by Natalie O´Sullivan (Stockholm our way), not only lead us to the well-known places of interest, but showed us cute little places and "unfamiliar" historic locations, too. She explained the facts, but also had to tell so many exciting stories and myths about "puzzle of life and history" of Sweden, Stockholm and its citizens that we plunged into the magic of this city. We were sorry when the tour was over after a 4 hours walk - but since then, we know what the "Stockholm Syndrome" feels like...
Oh my goodness! We selected this tour because we wanted to see the country out from Stockholm. But we were blown away by the history and beauty of these churches - so old but so well maintained. Best of all, the guide, Jonathan, was so knowledgeable and so excited about all that he was able to show us. He’s brilliant and shared knowledge in such an engaging way. He and the driver had excellent English and were so much fun to be with. We learned so much about Sweden both past and present.
A wonderfully bright and personable guide who shared with us what it’s like living in contemporary Stockholm - far more interesting than the old buildings. He was very accommodating and responsive to our interests.
