Full description
This St. Petersburg sightseeing tour lets you take in amazing sights across the city, with personalized commentary from an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Discover the world-famous Nevsky Prospect, lined with marble palaces of Russian royalty and aristocracy, with the city's most fashionable boutiques and art salons arranged in old 18th-century building façades. Admire the streets' trading rows and arcades, with impressive classical and Renaissance cathedrals.

Then, enjoy an excellent photo opportunity with a stunning panorama along the Neva's embankments; by the city's Rostral Columns you will have a view of the 5 buildings of the State Hermitage Museum, the Admiralty and St. Isaac's Cathedral. From there, you will visit the most splendid architectural masterpieces of Saint Petersburg: the Fine Arts Square, the magnificent Church of Resurrection on Spilled Blood, the Field of Mars, the Alexanderinsky Drama Theater, Smolny Cathedral, the Classical Senate building, the Bronze Horseman and much more. Enjoy the beauty of the third largest square in the world - the Palace Square -  home to the Winter Palace and the Alexander Column.

During this tour you will also pay a visit to the Peter and Paul Fortress, the oldest construction in St. Petersburg.  This was originally created to protect the city, but was eventually used as a political prison. St. Peterburg's Bastion is also here. You will also see the Peter and Paul Cathedral, an example of Russian 18th century architecture that has remained intact. For almost two centuries, it served as a burial place for Russian emperors. The last Russian tsar - Nicholas II - and his family were buried in the cathedral's small St. Catherine chapel in 1998.
