What people are saying about Skopje
I want to start off by saying, I travel to many different places for work. But in all my travels I have not met such a wonderful, passionate and knowledgeable guide as Naumka :) As soon as we arrived to Ohrid, we were warmly greeted but Naumka :) She is from Ohrid and is so proud and knowledgeable about her city and country. I immediately felt that we were in great hands with her. Naumka knew all the short cuts around town and made sure we did not miss anything! Naumka shared her knowledge of the history, different stories and legends and so many different facts of all the places we visited. We’ve learned so much from her, and I’m already sharing so many things she taught us! We also ended our tour with a delicious traditional dinner at Restaurant Antico, the oldest restaurant in Ohrid! It was such a lovely and special day and I will be sure never to forget. And we made a wonderful new friend, thank you so much Naumka, and Skopje Plus travel ❤️ I can’t wait to come back!
A half-day trip to Mount Vodno, the Matka Canyon and the Monastery was a great experience. We had a great and knowledgeable guide, Tony, who talked about Macedonian history and modern life. At Matka Canyon you can take a boat trip and a cave tour at an additional cost (7 €), though you will have to choose between the excursion or lunch. The visit to the Panteleimos Monastery is also interesting. Mount Vodno with Millennium Cross offers great views over the city of Skopje
Our tour guide picked my wife and I up from our AirBnB in Macedonia bang on time and took us on a detailed and well run trip from Skopje to two cities in Kosovo (Prishtina and Prizen). Taking in the stunning scenery on the drive into Kosovo we got a good sense of what life is like in this infant-nation. A really good trip and made a really interesting day out for us both.
Many thanks to our tour guide and driver for taking us on an informative and enjoyable trip from Skopje to Mavrovo and Ohrid that also included a visit to a beautiful monastery and stops by three man-made lakes. We learned a great deal about Macedonian history both ancient and recent. This provided us with an excellent overview of the region.
My day trip was in every way amazing! The biggest thanks goes to our guide. This guy was doing more than he has to do, all the time taking care of us, sharing information about Macedonia and giving good travel tips. The trip was very well organized too. I hope this feedback would go to the boss of our guide. This guy is really amazing.
