Full description
Head to Siena on a journey through quaint Chianti vineyards, arriving just as the townspeople begin to rise. The guided walking tour begins with a jaunt along Siena's narrow medieval streets, passing such curios as the world's oldest bank, the Piazza del Campo – home of the famous 600-year-old Palio horse-race, and continuing with a visit to the town's spectacular Cathedral before taking a short break. A fleeting drive ends at a family-run wine farm nestled in the Tuscan countryside. Enjoy a traditional regional lunch of delicious home-made produce fresh from the farm, including fresh pasta, cured meats, crisp salad leaves, and rich cheeses served with local wines including Vernaccia, Chianti, and Vin Santo. Once that feast has been given time to digest, depart for San Gimignano, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its medieval town-planning that's made its name as "The Manhattan of the Middle Ages." Stroll along cobbled stone streets and small market squares, then embark on a trip through the enchanting countryside, spying hilltop hamlets and rustic churches on the way to Pisa. The tour's ultimate stop takes in the Field of Miracles; an opulent green tract dominated by the area's dazzling white buildings, including the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Our tour guide, Julio, was absolutely fantastic! The driver, Raul, was absolutely fantastic! This tour was worth every penny. The drive was beautiful, all the locations we stopped were breathtaking. The winery lunch was delicious, and really exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed all of the information that Julio gave us and we also enjoyed the quiet alone time we were given to explore each destination. Julio has a difficult task of speaking to people in three languages, he was excellent. Very personable and warm.

Julio, the guide, was fantastic and was keen to show off Tuscany and all of its most wonderful sites. He knew his history and was happy to explain this (in multiple languages) to anyone who asked. I was blown away by the tour, the guide, the locations and the quality of the experience. Would thoroughly recommend!

The Tour itself was great. We enjoyed going to the different cities. The guide and driver were excellent. My only problem with the whole tour was that we were dropped off at 7:00 pm (dark in Italy at this time of the year) and told if we walked up the ramp we would end up in the train station to be able to catch a taxi. People had no idea where to go and it wasn't the best area to be in, in the dark. Other tours we had been on - asked if anyone needed taxis and they called ahead and had them waiting at the drop off. My only complaint.
