Fun, intimate experience with a great guide

Getting out of the city and visiting the small village was well worth our time. We were able to see multiple homes that HUSK helped to build and visit a local school, where I exchanged fun faces with one of the schoolbrea kids during their break. There were lots of smiles exchanged, learned how palm sap is extracted to make sugar, and learning the various ways the community is growing with the help of HUSK. All-in-all, it was a greater experience.

A very well explained tour of Traditional Khmer Village Life

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Lee explained to me that the villages were looked after by a NGO (Husk) who had set up schools, medical facilities, recycling of water bottles which they fill and make into the walls of the houses, he showed me many of the new initiatives they are making to improve the lives of the people. The tour company itseld makes a donation from all revenue to help the Khmer village people. Lee, my excellemt tour guide, was happy to answer my many questions and was very professional and respectful. He has a good university education and is very informativd yet sensitive to the lives, rituals and beliefs of the people. Don't use any other guide then him; he is the best I have found and I have travelled to Cambodia 5 times and spent much time here, so I do know! It was wonderful walking through the villages; meeting & talking with elders and the lovely smiling young children. We also learnes about thwir agricultural life, their spiritual beliefs; why homes on stilts

Perhaps the best tour I've ever taken.

The walking tour of a Khmer village was outstanding. The hotel pickup was just as promised and it only got better from there. Our guide, Lim, was knowledgeable and personable. He encouraged and answered questions with grace and good humor. His command of English was excellent. He pointed out many ways that Beyond Unique had helped, along with other agencies and NGOs, to provide clean water, housing and help to the people. I highly recommend it.
