- Visit Salda Lake, also known as the Turkish Maldives
- Swim in the hot springs and thermal pools
- Enjoy a trip into nature without tacky shopping
During a 1-hour stop at this lake (also known as the "Turkish Maldives"), you can enjoy walking along the white sandy beaches and can also swim in the clear turquoise waters. Located among the mountains, Salda Lake has protected its natural beauty and enchants visitors with a great combination of white, green, and blue colors. It is also the deepest lake in Turkey (184 meters), and its high magnesium white rocks on the lake shore are similar to those found on Mars.
Following your break in the "Turkish Maldives", you will continue driving to Pamukkale. Before arriving, there will be a stop at a local restaurant where you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch. Following that, you will see one of the most unique and wonderful places in the world: Pamukkale (which means the "Cotton Castle" in Turkish). You can stroll along the white calcium travertines and their hot springs, swim in the ancient Cleopatra’s Pool, and discover the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis. You will also see the largest necropolis in Turkey, as well as one of the largest amphitheaters. You will have a total of about 4 hours to explore Pamukkale and Hierapolis, which is a UNESCO Heritage Site.
Following Pamukkale there will be a short visit to Karahayit, with optional swimming at a thermal pool. On the way back to Side you will stop at Korkuteli Town for a delicious dinner, following which your approximate time of arrival to Side is between 9:00PM-10:00PM.
