Full description
Italica was the first Roman city founded in Spain, built in 206 B.C. after the battle of Ilipa. Enjoy a 2-hour tour of the ruins of this ancient city, led by a knowledgeable guide.

The site is located just 8 kilometers northwest of Seville. More than 2,000 years later, it still holds the essence and atmosphere of the Roman Empire. Under the rule of emperors Hadrian and Trajan, the city further expanded during the 2nd century.

Nowadays its major attraction is the amphitheater, which was used by HBO as a film location for some of the scenes in the famous TV series Game of Thrones. Your guide will wait for you at the main entrance to the Italica site, to start your 2-hour tour that will take you back to the ancient times of Rome.

I would not do the tour again. Very expensive for what little is seen at the site.

The guide was difficult to understand and she was unable to understand our questions. Very limited knowledge of the subject. We learned more from the information signs. Also, the guide gave the tour in two languages, making it twice as long.
